I absolutely adore figs. I gobble down as many fresh figs as I can during fig season, and buy dried and/or frozen figs (thank you Trader Joes!) during the rest of the year.
- Frozen figs
- Fresh figs
- Frozen pineapple
- Frozen bananas
- 3 Medjool dates
- Baby gems lettuce
- When making a green smoothie always blend the greens first, separately from the fruit ingredients. Doing this will avoid over oxidation of the fruits, and keep the smoothie from turning brown!
- Add the fruit ingredients to the blender. I always use a vitamix!
- Top with juicy fresh figs and enjoy!
